Isobaric pressure filling line for carbonated soft drinks, soda water, and sparkling beverages. Premium engineering for perfect carbonation.
Bottling carbonated soft drinks (CSD), soda water, or sparkling juices is fundamentally different from bottling still water. When a liquid is infused with Carbon Dioxide (CO2), it becomes highly volatile. If exposed to normal atmospheric pressure during the filling process, the CO2 will violently escape, resulting in massive foaming, inconsistent fill levels, and 'flat' tasting beverages. BMR Machinery’s Carbonated Soft Drink (CSD) Plant utilizes advanced Isobaric (Counter-Pressure) technology to solve this exact problem, ensuring your beverages retain their perfect fizz from the factory to the consumer.
The core of our CSD plant is the Isobaric filling valve. Before any liquid enters the bottle, the valve seals the bottle's neck and injects high-pressure CO2 gas, pressurizing the empty bottle to exactly match the pressure inside the main liquid filling tank (typically 3 to 5 bar). Because the pressure is equalized, the carbonated liquid can flow smoothly down the walls of the bottle under the force of gravity alone, completely eliminating turbulence and foaming. Once the fill level is reached, a precise snift valve slowly releases the pressure before the bottle moves to the capper.
The solubility of CO2 in water is entirely dependent on temperature; cold water absorbs gas much more efficiently than warm water. Our CSD turnkey plant integrates a high-capacity industrial chilling system (Glycol or Ammonia based). The mixed beverage syrup and water are chilled to between 2°C and 4°C before entering the highly efficient Carbonator unit. This deep chilling process ensures maximum CO2 absorption (volumes of carbonation), giving your soft drink that sharp, refreshing 'bite' consumers expect.
Consistency in taste is the hallmark of any successful beverage brand. The plant includes a sophisticated, automated syrup blending and proportioning system. Using high-accuracy mass flow meters or precision piston pumps, the system blends the concentrated flavoring syrup with the chilled, purified water at an exact, unvarying ratio (e.g., 1 part syrup to 5 parts water). This guarantees that bottle number 1 tastes exactly identical to bottle number 10,000.
Because a CSD filling machine operates under continuous high pressure and handles acidic syrups (like cola or lemon-lime, which have a low pH), the engineering standards must be exceptionally high. The entire filling carousel, the central pressurized liquid tank, and the internal components of every single filling valve are precision-machined from SS 316L (a highly corrosion-resistant grade of stainless steel). This prevents any degradation of the machine parts and guarantees the absolute purity of your beverage.
With carbonated drinks, time is literally money; any delay between filling and capping results in lost CO2. The layout of the RFC Triblock ensures that the distance between the filling valve and the capping turret is kept to an absolute minimum. The high-speed magnetic capping heads apply the specialized CSD caps (which have unique pressure-sealing liners) within fractions of a second. This rapid application traps the pressurized gas inside, guaranteeing a long shelf life and perfect carbonation.
