The 4-cavity machine is available in an advanced servo-motor driven configuration for the preform transfer, clamping, and stretching mechanisms. At 40 bar of blowing pressure, compressed air is one of the most expensive consumables in a PET bottle plant. Older machines simply exhaust this high-pressure air to the atmosphere after each blowing cycle — a massive, ongoing waste of energy. The 4-cavity machine incorporates an advanced High-Pressure Air Recovery System. After the blowing cycle is complete and the mould opens, the residual high-pressure air remaining inside the bottle (still at 10-15 bar) is recaptured and fed back into the machine's pre-blowing circuit for the next cycle.
