The end-of-line packaging process is the final bottleneck in any beverage or FMCG production facility. Once the bottles are blown, filled, capped, and labeled, they must be bundled securely for transport to distributors and retail shelves. Traditional cardboard cartons are expensive, bulky, and susceptible to moisture damage. The BMR Automatic Shrink Wrapping Machine (also known as a Web Sealer or Bundle Wrapper) is the modern, highly efficient alternative, wrapping clusters of bottles in tough, waterproof LDPE (Low-Density Polyethylene) shrink film.
From 24-packs of 500ml water bottles to 4-packs of heavy 5-liter oil jars, this machine handles the immense physical pressure of high-speed grouping, sealing, and shrinking. By completely eliminating the need for corrugated cardboard boxes, manufacturers slash their secondary packaging costs by over 70%, while providing a tight, transparent, and aesthetically pleasing bundle that is instantly ready for retail display.
Shrink wrapping industrial volumes of bottles is an aggressive physical process. The machine must first group the bottles (e.g., 4x6 for a 24-pack), push them firmly through a curtain of thick LDPE film, seal and cut the film simultaneously using a scorching hot blade, and then transport the loose bundle through a high-temperature shrink tunnel where the film contracts tightly around the bottles.
The BMR Shrink Wrapping Machine is built like a tank. It utilizes massive pneumatic pushers and a heavily insulated shrink tunnel equipped with high-velocity air circulation fans. The sealing blade (the most critical part of the machine) is coated with specialized Teflon and driven by heavy-duty pneumatic cylinders to ensure a flawless, tear-resistant weld on the thick LDPE film every single time, even during continuous 24/7 operation.
Designed to sit at the end of high-speed filling lines, the specifications of the BMR Web Sealer reflect its capability to handle massive daily volumes and heavy loads.

A bottleneck at the end of the line stops the entire factory. BMR Machinery has engineered this machine to be the most reliable component in your plant.
The BMR Shrink Wrapper is the ultimate end-of-line solution across various sectors:
The ROI on a BMR Shrink Wrapping Machine is one of the fastest in the entire packaging industry. A standard corrugated cardboard carton for a 24-pack of water costs significantly more than the equivalent amount of LDPE shrink film.
Furthermore, cardboard takes up massive amounts of warehouse space, requires manual labor to fold and tape, and is ruined instantly if exposed to rain or damp warehouse floors. LDPE shrink film is 100% waterproof, takes up a fraction of the storage space, and allows the consumer to see the branding on the bottles inside. For a medium-sized water plant, switching from cartons to shrink wrapping can generate millions in packaging savings annually, paying for the machine in just a few months.
Handling 200°C heat and heavy pneumatic blades requires stringent safety protocols. The BMR machine is fully enclosed in safety guarding; opening any door instantly cuts power to the sealing blade. Daily maintenance is minimal, mostly involving wiping down the sealing blade with a specialized cleaning block to remove carbon buildup, and ensuring the tunnel fans are free of dust. BMR provides comprehensive onsite training to ensure your end-of-line operators can troubleshoot film tension and temperature settings independently.
1. Do we need to use a cardboard tray under the bottles? No. Our machine is a "tray-less" web sealer. It wraps the film directly around the bottles, which are held together by the tightness of the shrunk film. However, if you are wrapping extremely heavy or unstable products (like loose cans), you can manually place a cardboard pad under them before they enter the machine.
2. What thickness of LDPE film should we use? For standard 500ml and 1L water bottle bundles, we recommend a film thickness of 60 to 70 microns. For heavy 5-Liter jars, you should use 80 to 100 microns to prevent the film from tearing when the bundle is lifted.
3. Why do the sides of the bundle have two open "bulls-eyes"? This is a standard "sleeve-wrap" design. The machine wraps the film over the top and bottom of the bottles, and the tunnel shrinks it tight, leaving two small oval openings (bulls-eyes) on the sides. These openings are intentionally left as convenient carrying handles for the consumer.
4. Can this machine keep up with a 6,000 BPH water filling line? Yes. A 6,000 BPH line produces 100 bottles per minute. If you are grouping them into 12-packs, the shrink wrapper only needs to process 8 to 9 packs per minute. Our standard pneumatic machine easily processes 12 to 15 packs per minute, making it more than capable.
5. How much electricity does the shrink tunnel consume? The shrink tunnel uses industrial heating elements. A standard tunnel consumes around 18 kW to 24 kW of power to heat up. However, once the tunnel reaches 200°C, the internal thermostat turns the heaters on and off to maintain the temperature, meaning the average running power is much lower.
6. Does the sealing blade emit toxic smoke when cutting the plastic? No. We use a constant-heat Teflon-coated blade that slices through the LDPE cleanly at the exact melting point of the plastic. Unlike cheap hot-wire cutters that burn the plastic and create toxic smoke, our blade creates a clean, smokeless weld.
7. Can we use printed film with our logo on this machine? Standard machines use plain, unprinted film. If you wish to use printed film with your logo (which requires the logo to be perfectly centered on every bundle), the machine must be upgraded with an optical sensor (eye-mark reader) and servo-driven film unwinding, which we offer as a premium option.
8. What happens if a bottle falls over inside the tunnel? The tunnel has large, heat-resistant viewing windows. If a jam occurs, the operator can hit the emergency stop, open the heavily insulated access doors on the side of the tunnel, and safely remove the fallen bottle using high-temperature safety gloves.
9. How do we change the machine to wrap a 24-pack instead of a 12-pack? The collation matrix is fully adjustable via the HMI touchscreen and physical guide rails. To change formats, you simply loosen the handles on the lane dividers, adjust the width to accept more lanes, and change the pneumatic pusher stroke length on the touchscreen. This takes about 15 minutes.
10. Do we need an air compressor for this machine? Yes, the machine relies heavily on pneumatics to operate the lane dividers, the bottle stoppers, the massive main pusher, and the heavy sealing blade. You will require a standard industrial air compressor capable of delivering 6 to 8 bar of clean, dry air.
