In the fiercely competitive FMCG and beverage markets, the label is the ultimate silent salesman. It is the first thing a consumer sees and the primary driver of brand identity. For high-volume production lines (like mineral water, sodas, and juices), traditional shrink sleeves or paper labels are far too expensive and slow to apply. The BMR BOPP Labeling Machine (Hot Melt Labeler) is the definitive high-speed solution, wrapping thousands of bottles per hour in cost-effective, highly durable, and visually stunning BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene) film.
Operating at staggering speeds, the BMR BOPP Labeler feeds continuous rolls of printed film, precisely cuts the label to the exact millimeter, applies micro-dots of hot-melt EVA adhesive, and wraps the label seamlessly around the bottle—all in a fraction of a second. This continuous rotary technology ensures that your brand looks flawless on the shelf while slashing your per-bottle packaging costs by up to 60% compared to traditional shrink sleeving.
Applying a label to a round or square bottle moving at high speeds is an extreme engineering challenge. If the tension on the film roll is slightly off, the label will wrinkle. If the cutter is dull or un-synchronized by even a millisecond, the label will overlap poorly, making the branding look cheap.
The BMR BOPP Labeling Machine solves these physical challenges using a deeply integrated Servo-Control architecture. The entire label unwinding, tensioning, cutting, and gluing process is mechanically decoupled but electronically synchronized using high-speed multi-axis servos. A high-precision tungsten-carbide rotary cutter slices the film exactly on the eye-mark (the printed sensor mark), while the specialized gluing drum applies just enough hot-melt glue to the leading and trailing edges of the label—drastically reducing glue consumption and preventing messy glue build-up on the machine.
Designed to be integrated directly into ultra-high-speed beverage lines, the specifications of the BMR BOPP Labeler reflect uncompromising industrial performance.

To maintain absolute labeling perfection at 24,000 bottles per hour, BMR has integrated a suite of proprietary technologies into the BOPP platform.
The BMR BOPP Labeling Machine is the industry standard for high-volume liquid packaging:
For a plant manager, the decision to upgrade to a BOPP Labeler is driven purely by economics. Traditional PVC/PETG shrink sleeves are thick, expensive, and require a massive, energy-hungry steam tunnel to shrink them onto the bottle.
BOPP film, on the other hand, is incredibly thin (often 35 microns), making it significantly cheaper per square meter. A single roll of BOPP can label 50,000 bottles, whereas a roll of shrink sleeves might only do 10,000. Furthermore, the BOPP machine eliminates the need for a steam boiler, saving massive amounts of energy. For a water plant producing 60,000 bottles a day, the transition from shrink sleeves to a BMR BOPP Labeler typically pays for the machine entirely in under 8 months just from label and energy savings.
Hot-melt glue systems require respect. BMR Machinery provides intensive training on how to properly maintain the glue tank, how to clean the vacuum drum, and how to sharpen or replace the cutter blades. The machine features automatic self-cleaning programs for the glue nozzle during shutdowns. Our pan-India network ensures that spare cutter blades, vacuum pads, and heating elements are always in stock and dispatchable within 24 hours.
1. Can this machine label square or rectangular bottles? Yes. While round bottles are standard, the machine can be equipped with specialized "orientation" star-wheels and custom top-press bells that perfectly align square bottles, ensuring the label wraps correctly around the corners.
2. How long does the cutter blade last before needing replacement? We use ultra-hard tungsten-carbide blades. Depending on the thickness of your BOPP film and operating speeds, a blade can easily perform 5 million to 10 million cuts before it needs to be rotated or sharpened.
3. What happens if the glue tank overheats? The glue system is completely independent and controlled by an advanced PID thermal controller. If the temperature exceeds the set limit, the system automatically cuts power to the heaters and triggers an alarm on the HMI to prevent the glue from burning and charring.
4. Is it difficult to change between a 500ml and a 1-Liter bottle? Changing bottle sizes requires swapping the "change parts," which include the feed-screw, star-wheels, and the central carousel guides. With our quick-release mechanisms, a trained operator can complete this mechanical changeover in about 30 to 45 minutes.
5. How much hot-melt glue does the machine consume? Very little. Because we use a micro-dot edge-gluing system (applying glue only to the very start and very end of the label), glue consumption is typically around 0.5 to 1.0 grams per 1,000 bottles, making it extremely cost-effective.
6. Can the machine handle transparent labels without showing glue marks? Yes. Transparent "No-Look" labels are very popular. Because our glue roller applies a microscopic, highly controlled strip of clear EVA hot-melt glue, the glue line is virtually invisible, maintaining the premium look of the transparent label.
7. Does the machine require compressed air? Yes, but a very small amount (approx. 0.5 m³/min at 6 bar). The air is primarily used for pneumatic control valves, activating the cutting knife cylinder, and supplying the vacuum generator for the transfer drum.
8. What is an Auto-Splicer and is it worth the investment? An auto-splicer automatically joins a new roll of labels to the old roll without stopping the machine. If you are running a hyper-speed line (e.g., 24,000 BPH), stopping the line for 3 minutes to change a roll every 2 hours causes massive production bottlenecks. In these cases, an auto-splicer is highly recommended.
9. Can we apply paper labels using this machine? This specific machine is optimized for plastic roll-fed film (BOPP, OPP). If you are using pre-cut paper labels, a cold-glue or wet-glue labeling machine is required. However, many customers use roll-fed synthetic paper on our BOPP machines.
10. What kind of training is provided for our operators? BOPP machines are highly technical. BMR engineers will spend several days at your site during commissioning, training your staff specifically on tension control, cutter blade adjustment, and glue tank maintenance, which are the three pillars of flawless BOPP labeling.
